Preview: Amity Regional Spartans vs. Stratford Red Devils
The Amity Regional Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Stratford Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stratford took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Amity Regional, who comes in off a win.
The matchup between Amity Regional and Lyman Hall on Tuesday hardly resembled the 8-2 effort from their previous meeting. Amity Regional breezed by Lyman Hall at home to the tune of 75-32. With Amity Regional ahead 32-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Amity Regional can attribute much of their success to Dylan Spark, who scored 21 points. Collin Tenney was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Stratford might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Bunnell an easy 68-47 victory. Stratford has not had much luck with Bunnell recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The victory makes it two in a row for Amity Regional and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Stratford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Amity Regional came up short against Stratford in their previous meeting back in February, falling 60-50. Can Amity Regional avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
