Basketball Recap: Wynot Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crofton last Monday, Wynot came back down to earth. The Wynot Blue Devils opened the new year with a less-than-successful 48-40 defeat to the Howard Tigers. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Wynot still got an impressive performance from Andrew Haberman, who went 7 of 10 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kotner Koch, who posted nine points.

Wynot has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Howard, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Wynot will take on Tri County Northeast on Thursday. Wynot is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.7 points per game this season. As for Howard, they will welcome Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
