Recap: Bishop Amat Lancers vs. Bosco Tech Tigers
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Bishop Amat Lancers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 64-61 victory from a begrudging Lancerssquad. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bishop Amat's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Blakely, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Chavez, who scored 18 points.
Bishop Amat has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Bosco Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Bishop Amat's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Bosco Tech will take on Juan Diego Catholic in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at. Hopefully Juan Diego Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
