Basketball Recap: Jefferson's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Jefferson had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huron Chiefs on Friday, sneaking past 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since January 23, 2024.

Jefferson's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Huron, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will take on Grosse Ile at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson is facing Grosse Ile at the right time seeing as Grosse Ile is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Huron, they will head out to face off against Flat Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flat Rock knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Huron likes a good challenge.
