Softball Game Preview: Victor Blue Devils vs. Webster Schroeder Warriors

Victor is 2-8 against Webster Schroeder since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If Victor beats Webster Schroeder with 13 runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Blue Devils blew past Irondequoit 13-2 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Izzy Law looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, Audrey Steinorth was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kenadee Comstock, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Penfield with a sharp 9-1 victory.

Webster Schroeder's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Victor, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
