Basketball Game Preview: Chippewa Chipps vs. Norwayne Bobcats

Chippewa hasn't had much luck against Norwayne recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chippewa Chipps will host the Norwayne Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Chippewa is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Fairless: they outscored them in every quarter. Chippewa put the hurt on Fairless with a sharp 56-36 win on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chipps.

Meanwhile, Norwayne made easy work of Waynedale on Tuesday and carried off a 61-40 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Chippewa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Norwayne, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Chippewa lost to Norwayne at home by a decisive 60-44 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Chippewa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
