Mineral Ridge has gone 9-1 against Waterloo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. On Thursday, Mineral Ridge didn't have quite enough to beat Ursuline and fell 3-2. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Fighting Irish 25-18 in the first set.
Mineral Ridge started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-14, 15-7.
The losing side was boosted by Tomlyn Sandy, who had 15 digs and one assist.
Meanwhile, Waterloo came up short against Jackson-Milton on Thursday and fell 3-1.
Waterloo was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Jackson-Milton work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 21-25, 25-20, 25-13.
Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Mineral Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.
