Rock Port waltzed into their game on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came out on top against the Albany Warriors by a score of 5-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Jays also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Corbyn Jakub made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI.

In other batting news, Tayden Cook was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Rock Port pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Albany, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Coming up, Rock Port will take on South Holt at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Albany, they will challenge King City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
