Football Game Recap: Champlain Valley Union vs. Colchester

Colchester had a rough outing against Burlington/South Burlington last week, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Colchester steamrollered Champlain Valley Union 48-7. That result was just more of the same for Colchester, who also won the last time these teams played.

The contest started off well for Colchester, whose offense put up 27 first-half points. Champlain Valley Union came up with 7 to make it 27-7 heading into the break. The Colchester defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win bumped Colchester's record up to 3-1. Champlain Valley Union are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

Next week Colchester take on Mt. Mansfield at 1:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games. Champlain Valley Union will look to defend their home turf against Burlington/South Burlington at 1:00 PM.
