Ella Ashley leads Southwest Georgia Academy to victory over Citizens Christian Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Terrell Academy, the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors were happy to have found some success on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 win over Citizens Christian Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Southwest Georgia Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Ella Ashley was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Williams, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Citizens Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Addy Harris. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.

Southwest Georgia Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Citizens Christian Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-15.

Southwest Georgia Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they will face off against Georgia Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Citizens Christian Academy is ranked 282nd, while Georgia Christian is ranked 289th).
