Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Continues Home Dominance on Monday

On Monday Oak Ridge's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Granite Bay Grizzlies. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Siena Maher looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Oak Ridge let Gemma Almont and Brooklyn Paratore run wild. Almont scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Paratore scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Paratore a new career-high in doubles (two). Molly Railey also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Oak Ridge's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Granite Bay, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oak Ridge is set to take on their familiar foe Rocklin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Oak Ridge 1.7, Rocklin 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Granite Bay will challenge rival Folsom at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
