Soccer Recap: Whitewater's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whitewater can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oconee County Warriors on Thursday. Whitewater were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the five contests prior), but Oconee County's defense proved too tough.

Whitewater's goal came courtesy of Chloe Roberts, who's now up to 18 this season.

Whitewater's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4. As for Oconee County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Whitewater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oconee County, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Jefferson on the 14th.
