Basketball Recap: Millard Comes Up Short

If Millard was riding high fresh off their 59-15 takedown of Parowan last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Millard Eagles fell 47-38 to the Beaver Beavers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Beavers are ranked 31st).

When it comes to explaining why Millard lost, don't look at Kyra Moat. Despite the final result, she posted six points. Eliza Larsen was another key player, putting up nine points.

Millard has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Beaver, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Millard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-26 defeat against South Sevier on the 23rd. Beaver has also already played their next matchup, a 52-26 win against Water Canyon on the 23rd.
