Softball Recap: Lancaster Beats Niagara Falls for Their Third Straight Win

Lancaster had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Niagara Falls Wolverines by a score of 6-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-0 on Tuesday.

Alyssa Brunner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brennah DeWald was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Dimino, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lancaster hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.

Lancaster's record is now 13-5. As for Niagara Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

As of now, neither Lancaster nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
