Baseball Game Preview: West Perry Mustangs vs. Waynesboro Indians

The West Perry Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Waynesboro Indians at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

West Perry came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Boiling Springs, falling 7-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Waynesboro lost 9-1 to Greencastle-Antrim on Thursday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Perry moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Waynesboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

West Perry beat Waynesboro 7-4 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
