It's playoff time, and Lake Linden-Hubbell had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the North Central Jets with a sharp 50-28 win on Saturday. The Lakes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Brady Axford was his usual excellent self, rushing for 206 yards and four scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 89 yards and one TD. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Lake Linden-Hubbell also got a significant boost from Joshua Daavettila, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 127 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Linden-Hubbell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 333 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Central only rushed for 118.

When it comes to explaining why North Central lost, don't look at Nathan Pipkorn. Despite the final result, he threw for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Linden-Hubbell and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points over those games. As for North Central, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.

As of now, neither Lake Linden-Hubbell nor the Jets have any future games scheduled.
