Basketball Recap: Leonard Comes Up Short

Leonard lost against Dr. Joaquin Garcia back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leonard Lancers came up short against the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs, falling 70-45. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 637th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 253rd).

When it comes to explaining why Leonard lost, don't look at Bryce Reed. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 53.3% of Leonard's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeff Jean, who scored six points along with five boards and three blocks.
