Soccer Recap: Murphysboro Comes Up Short

Murphysboro lost against Jackson back in September of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils fell 3-1 to the Fighting Indians. One reason for the loss might be Murphysboro's aggressive play style: three Murphysboro players were handed yellow cards.

Murphysboro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Jackson, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Murphysboro will take on Notre Dame at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jackson, they will welcome De Smet Jesuit at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
