Football Recap: Torin Wolf Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Chowchilla

There's no place like home for Minarets, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Chowchilla Tribe by a score of 36-26 on Friday. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 54-20 victory the Tribe walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Minarets' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Torin Wolf led the charge by throwing for 280 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 30 yards and one score. The Mustangs' leading receiver Caden Larsen was Wolf's top target yet again, picking up 194 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Minarets pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points over those games. As for Chowchilla, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minarets will face off against Parlier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chowchilla, they will take on Caruthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
