Dominic Ricciardi Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is Western Reserve's Dominic Ricciardi, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Ricciardi rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

The victory (which was Western Reserve's third in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Ricciardi's next match is against Crestline on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Gentile Posts Huge Game in 43-12 Victory

Springfield picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Dante Gentile. Lowellville had no answer to Gentile as he rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Gentile's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 115 rushing yards.

Springfield pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Gentile and Springfield have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Black River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chris Pater put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He made four total tackles and defended a pass.

Lowellville Gets a Boost from Perry in 43-12 Loss

Lowellville was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Geno Perry did his best to prevent it. Springfield had no answer to Perry as he rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 31 receiving yards.

Perry is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against McDonald on Friday. Perry rushed for 127 yards, and also picked up 77 receiving yards the last time he and the Blue Devils duked it out on October 4th.

Josh Pazel Makes It Two for Lowellville

Another Lowellville player making an appearance on this list is Josh Pazel. He picked up 128 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 57 yards.

For the season, Pazel has caught 12 touchdowns while averaging 92.1 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.9 receiving yards per game.
