Baseball Recap: Royal Triumphs

Royal lost to Westbury last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Royal Falcons walked away with a 6-2 win over the Westbury Huskies.

Kyle Rogers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Royal's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 1-3-1 when he doesn't). Rogers was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Steven Barley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.

Royal's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for Westbury, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1.

Royal has already played their next contest, a 19-9 win against Fort Bend Willowridge on the 18th. As for Westbury, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Sterling on the 10th.
