Blue Mountain had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They blew past the Pottsville Crimson Tide 18-2. Considering the Eagles have won 12 games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Leonard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Blue Mountain let Anna Borden and Emmerson Frie run wild. Borden went a perfect 5-for-5 with seven RBI, four runs, and three doubles, while Frie fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Those four runs gave Borden a new career-high. Addyson Fishburn was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Blue Mountain lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Blue Mountain's record now sits at 19-1. As for Pottsville, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Blue Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pottsville, they will venture away from home to challenge Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pottsville's pitchers better be ready for this one: Marian Catholic has averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
