Recap: Berwick Panthers vs. Ascension Episcopal
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. James, the Berwick Panthers were happy to have found some success on Monday. They came out on top against Ascension Episcopal by a score of 29-16. This was payback for Berwick, who suffered a 46-12 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Berwick was led to victory by Ella Bosman and Azyria Garrison. Bosman scored ten points along with five rebounds and five blocks, while Garrison scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Garrison has scored at least a third of Berwick's points.
Berwick's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Ascension Episcopal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Berwick will head out on the road to square off against the Lumberjacks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ascension Episcopal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Louisiana (Loreauville is ranked 369th, while the are ranked 352nd).
