Basketball Recap: Bronson's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Union City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bronson, they should've done a better job of containing Aubree Calloway. The Bronson Vikings took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 58-13 victory over the Union City Chargers thanks in part to Calloway, who shot 5-for-6 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 40 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Payton Springstead, who posted five points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Bronson and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Union City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Bronson will head out on the road to face off against Constantine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union City and Hillsdale will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
