Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Anderson County

If Osawatomie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Anderson County, they should've done a better job of containing Noah Porter. The Anderson County Bulldogs blew past the Osawatomie Trojans 63-31 on Thursday thanks in part to Porter, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. What's more, he also racked up seven steals, the most he's had since back in January.

Another player making a difference was Brayden Wheat, who posted 13 points. Wheat is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

The win made it two in a row for Anderson County and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Osawatomie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Anderson County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-51 victory against Santa Fe Trail on the 20th. As for Osawatomie, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Iola at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
