Soccer Recap: Burlingame Comes Up Short

Burlingame was the 2-1 winner over Junipero Serra when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Burlingame Panthers fell just short of the Junipero Serra Padres by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday.

Burlingame now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Junipero Serra, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Burlingame take on the Lincoln at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burlingame's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Junipero Serra, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mountain View at 11:00 a.m. on December 31st. Both have allowed few goals on average, (Junipero Serra: 0.5, Mountain View: 0) so any goals scored will be well earned.
