It was fun while it lasted, but Gila Ridge's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Saturday. They came up short against the Imperial Tigers, falling 5-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hawks came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 13th in Arizona, while the Tigers are ranked 383rd in California).

Having lost for the first time this season, Gila Ridge fell to 4-1. As for Imperial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Gila Ridge has already played their next contest, a 3-3 loss against Calexico on the 14th. As for Imperial, they will be taking part in a tournament against University City at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
