Volleyball Recap: Rosholt Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Rosholt, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Crandon Cardinals on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rosholt took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9, 25-14.

Rosholt can attribute much of their success to Aubree Dombrowski, who had eight digs and three aces. Those eight digs gave Dombrowski a new career-high. Isabelle Groshek also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Rosholt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The win got Rosholt back to even at 11-11. As for Crandon, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-22.

Rosholt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Almond-Bancroft on the 7th. As for Crandon, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Florence on the 2nd.
