League recap: Norfolk County Agricultural falls, extends losing streak to five

Having lost five games in a row, Norfolk County Agricultural is mired in the league's worst slump. The Rams lost another two games last week, including a 17-4 defeat against Upper Cape Cod RVT.

Upper Cape Cod RVT currently leads Mayflower 2 with a 13-4 record overall and a 9-2 mark during league play. West Bridgewater sits two games back in second, with a 4-1 record in league play.

Old Colony RVT, the season leader in runs scored at 88, added to its total with a league-high 31 runs this week. The Cougars' key hitters include Tom Gammell, who has a team-high 13 runs, and T.j. Fernandes, who leads the squad with with nine RBIs.

Old Colony RVT's Fernandes finished his week with seven hits, tops in the league. He is fourth in the league with 13 hits this year, and has a .382 batting average.
