Softball Recap: Hiawatha Takes a Loss

Hiawatha lost against Holton on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Hawks lost 14-1 to the Wildcats. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hiawatha saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynnan Boye, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was Boye's first of the season.

Hiawatha's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Holton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Coming up, Hiawatha will challenge Hayden at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Holton, they will take on Jefferson West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
