Basketball Recap: East Poinsett County's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

East Poinsett County had won four straight games and Jacob Gaines did his part to make it five on Saturday. The East Poinsett County Warriors came out on top against the Manila Lions by a score of 53-44 thanks in part to Gaines, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

East Poinsett County's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Manila, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

East Poinsett County will venture away from home to square off against Earle at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Manila, they will host Paragould at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
