The Poinciana Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against Lake Buena Vista as Poinciana made off with a 37-14 victory. Poinciana pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Lake Buena Vista had little chance of recovering from.
Poinciana got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Brown out in front who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Ernest Nunn, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Poinciana's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Lake Buena Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poinciana will square off against Mulberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Buena Vista, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Moore will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
