Basketball Recap: Highlands Takes a Loss

Highlands lost against Andrews back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Highlands Highlanders were beaten by the Andrews Wildcats 71-28. The match marked the Highlanders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Highlands' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Andrews, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Highlands will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Murphy at 8:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Andrews and Smoky Mountain will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
