Baseball Recap: Rehoboth Christian Comes Up Short

Rehoboth Christian lost against Hozho Academy on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lynx fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 4-3. The Lynx have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jonathan Zylstra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Kodah Chapman and Jude Christensen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Chapman went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI, while Christensen went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. That triple marked the first that Chapman has hit this season.

Rehoboth Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Hozho Academy, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rehoboth Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Laguna Acoma at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hozho Academy will challenge rival Oak Grove Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Owls a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
