Recap: Ripley Tigers vs. Dyersburg Trojans
The Ripley Tigers lost against the Dyersburg Trojans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Ripley had to suffer through a rough 62-18 loss at the hands of Dyersburg. Ripley has not had much luck with Dyersburg recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Dyersburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joya Crawford led the charge by scoring 14 points along with 3 steals. The matchup was Crawford's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaykay Strayhorn, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Dyersburg, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Ripley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Brighton is ranked 259th, while Ripley is ranked 278th). As for Dyersburg, they will be playing at home against Huntingdon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
