Volleyball Recap: Springfield Victorious

Springfield picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mattoon Greenwave by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Senators.

Rachel Becker paced Springfield's offense, picking up five kills. Becker got some help from Franny VonDeBur and her five assists. Becker also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lucy Ambrose, racking up two apiece.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Mattoon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Neoga on the 6th. Mattoon has also already played their next game (against Mt. Vernon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
