Tulare Western came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Dinuba, but NATHANIEL LOPEZ wouldn't allow it. The Emperors walked away with a 36-29 win over the Mustangs on Thursday for which the team can thank LOPEZ, who rushed for 142 yards and one TD, and also picked up 61 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dinuba is 3-1 when LOPEZ posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was TONY IBARRA, who threw for 206 yards and three TDs while completing 89.5% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Despite the loss, Tulare Western still got an impressive performance from JUJU Hernandez, who threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns. Grant Crawford was in the mix too, providing the Mustangs with two scores.

Dinuba pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points over those games. As for Tulare Western, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.
