Volleyball Recap: Dougherty Valley Comes Up Short

Dougherty Valley kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant Valley Vikings.

Pleasant Valley was led to victory by Audrey Ferro and Keira Purvis. Ferro had 16 assists and five digs, while Purvis had 14 digs and one assist. Ferro is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

The win made it two in a row for Pleasant Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Dougherty Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Ripon Christian on the 23rd. As for Pleasant Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Lodi on the 23rd.
