Football Game Preview: Jackson-Reed Tigers vs. Woodson Warriors + How To Watch

Jackson-Reed hasn't had much luck against Woodson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

Jackson-Reed is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Ballou, who was ranked 14th at the time (Jackson-Reed was ranked 18th). The Tigers lost 28-7 to the Knights on Thursday. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodson). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Dunbar 46-6. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-0.

Jackson-Reed's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Woodson, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Jackson-Reed might still be hurting after the 36-13 loss they got from Woodson in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 36-13.
