Softball Game Preview: Clarkston Bantams vs. East Valley Knights

The Clarkston Bantams will challenge the East Valley Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing isn't great for Clarkston: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while East Valley has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Clarkston and West Valley meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Bantams had just enough and edged out the Eagles 10-9. The Bantams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While East Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Pullman with a sharp 15-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Knights have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

East Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Clarkston, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
