West Noble and Lakeland meet up on Friday this week after opposite experiences in their previous matchups. Lakeland took its last-week contest against Central Noble by a conclusive 60 - 27 score. As for West Noble, it was crushed by Garrett 42 - 19 last week.

Lakeland got an early lead and never looked back, outscoring Central Noble in every quarter en route to its victory. Senior running back Eli Wallace was especially active in the win, finding the endzone a remarkable five times. The win bumped Lakeland's record up to 2-4.

West Noble put on a good show in the second half (the squad netted 19 points), but after a slow start in the first it just wasn't enough. The team got a solid performance out of junior Spencer Shrock; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. The loss dropped West Noble's record to 2-4.

Both Lakeland and West Noble have been struggling on the defensive side of the ball (the former allowing an average of 37.17 points per game, the latter an average of 33.67 points per game). We'll find out which offense can take advantage of this fact when the two teams meet this week.
