Basketball Recap: David Emanuel Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

David Emanuel Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a blow against the Bulloch Academy Gators, falling 78-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-26 on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why David Emanuel Academy lost, don't look at Ethan Fields. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and six rebounds.

As for Bulloch Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 53 points per game.

Akiryon Watkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 64% from the field en route to 18 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.8% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Eason, who scored 11 points and five boards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. David Emanuel Academy will welcome Edmund Burke Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bulloch Academy, they will be playing at home against Stratford Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
