Basketball Recap: Olympic Falls to Palisades in First Game of Season

Olympic unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Palisades Pumas on Tuesday, falling 53-33. Surprisingly, this marked the Trojans' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Palisades' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooklyn Young led the charge by putting up six points in addition to ten assists and six steals. Those ten assists gave Young a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mariah Rushin, who posted eight points along with eight steals and five rebounds.

Olympic has already played their next matchup, a 45-44 defeat against Jay M. Robinson on the 21st. Palisades has also already played their next game (against Chambers), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
