Basketball Recap: Immaculate Comes Up Short

Immaculate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 47-26 to the New Fairfield Rebels. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Immaculate saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendra Foy posted 19 points. That was a full 73.1% of Immaculate's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Immaculate's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for New Fairfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Immaculate will head out to take on Bunnell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Fairfield, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bethel at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
