Baseball Game Preview: Oakton Cougars vs. James Madison Warhawks

It was a proper cat-fight when Oakton faced off against Centreville on Tuesday. The Cougars came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, James Madison entered their tilt with Briar Woods on Wednesday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warhawks have posted since April 4th.

James Madison pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Oakton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
