First Presbyterian Day took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Jones County Greyhounds. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

First Presbyterian Day's offense was hitting Jones County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Bowen Matthews led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for six goals all by herself.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jones County fell to 4-1.

The future could be bright for both First Presbyterian Day and Jones County: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. First Presbyterian Day will try to hand Howard their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jones County will look to extend Hampton's three-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
