Mitchell won the last time they faced Palm Harbor University and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 48-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Jaslene Medina was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylana Little, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Mitchell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Palm Harbor University's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylie Smith, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 22 boards. Leah Barker was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Mitchell's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Palm Harbor University, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-35 win against Gulf on the 21st. As for Palm Harbor University, they have also already played their next contest, a 57-49 victory against Sunlake on the 21st.
