Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Skates Past FAITH Homeschool with Ease

Cornerstone Christian Academy won the last time they faced FAITH Homeschool and things went their way on Monday too. The Cougars claimed a resounding 80-46 victory over the Warriors. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 26-point advantage.

Cornerstone Christian Academy was led to victory by Jordan Lemmon and Isaac Tadlock. Lemmon dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten rebounds, while Tadlock dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Josiah Erby, who posted four points and five steals.

Cornerstone Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as FAITH Homeschool only posted eight.

Casey Jacobson and Eli Jacobson certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Casey dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards, while Eli went 6-for-14 to rack up 19 points and five steals. The game was Casey's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Barnaby Shedor also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

The win got Cornerstone Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for FAITH Homeschool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Cornerstone Christian Academy will welcome Liberty Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for FAITH Homeschool, they will head out to challenge Fayetteville O at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. The Warriors' defense better be ready for this one: the Outliers have averaged an impressive 63.6 points per game this season.
