Basketball Game Preview: Lanier Christian Academy Lightning vs. West Hall Spartans

The Lanier Christian Academy Lightning are taking a road trip to challenge the West Hall Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Lanier Christian Academy and nine for West Hall.

Lanier Christian Academy lost 57-36 to Liberty Creek two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 300th in Georgia, while the Wolves are ranked 108th in Tennessee).

Despite the loss, Lanier Christian Academy had strong showings from Adelyn Gough, who posted eight points, and Elliana Clark, who earned.

Meanwhile, West Hall took a blow against Jefferson on Friday, falling 72-14. The match marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

West Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Lanier Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Lanier Christian Academy took their victory against West Hall in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 49-27. Does Lanier Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Hall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
