Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion-Franklin). Everything went their way against the South Bulldogs on Wednesday as they made off with a 28-1 victory. While the Red Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Rylee Taylor was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in five of her nine plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Carlee Woods, who scored five runs while getting on base in five of her eight plate appearances.
Marion-Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.
Marion-Franklin's win bumped their record up to 4-1.
